Over the years (and especially the past few months) I have learned to truly appreciate traveling. I used to see airports as daunting places filled with stress and discontentment, but this is no longer the case. There is something about traveling, specifically flying, that gives me the feeling to being suspended in time, being neither here nor there. I see it as a time to think, reflect, and be freed of worries and obligations. It’s a time that I have come to value immensely.
I created this pattern with these thoughts in mind. I have used images of planes, clouds, and luggage tags to represent travel. To represent the idea of time I have used numbers, pocket watches, and hourglasses. The response I hope to get from this design is the realization that beauty can be found in something as ordinary as traveling.
